Palmiye Turkey

Overall our stay at club Med Palmiye was very positive. Some highlights:

• Installations are new and incredibly well kept, and the location is stunning. Everything is clean and looks beautiful
• Sports and activities offer is ample, equipment is new and everything is well organized
• The food is just incredible, freshly made, local, and a variety of choices
• Some of the GOs where very nice to us, and we had a lot of fun with them, particularly Gino, Alphonse (Tennis GO), and the sailing GOs

Some lowlights:

• The experience is very "french". For non french speakers like myself it can be hard to follow everything as the only language spoken almost exclusively is french. When you ask the GOs or personnel to talk english, they will struggle and they will try to avoid you, making you feel as an outsider. There is a lot of work to be done if Club Med wants to be considered as an international place
• The alcohol quality is extremely low. Not only it tastes bad, but it seems like the alcoholic drinks don#t have any alcohol.
• Besides the ones I mentioned earlier, most of the GOs didn't make any effort to interact with the guests or integrate.

Second year in a row at Palmiye. Loved the sports available there with no or minimal queuing (water skiing, sailing, padel, tennis, gym). Delicious food, drinks and the staff (GO) is always helpful and pleasant. Evening animations are nice as well. The kids club for my son of 6yo was great from 9am to 5pm and also in the evening from 7pm to 9pm if needed. The GOs take really good care of the children who get to try many sports and activities. My son has food allergy and they were very cautious with that. Particular thanks to Couscous from the kids club who made it really fun ! Also to Jonathan and Fati who organised a little birthday cake (and song) on a short notice for my wife. Thank you all!

We had the most wonderful time ! We took our two daughters and we spend an amazing time! Our daughters were at the "mini club" every day and we had time to enjoy the resort and relax while our kids were having a blast with friends. Beril and Denize were taking care of our Daughter at the mini club and were absolutely amazing, caring and kind. My daughter was literally crying when it was time to say goodbye !
The food and amenities were amazing!

Large, but zoned, beautiful resort. Greeted by very warm, friendly staff (called GOs). Garden setting, with long stretch of beach & lots of sports and other activities - spa, hammam, etc. The aroma of jasmine hits you as you arrive (in April). Surrounded by orange trees, laurels, and other beautiful plants.

Spotlessly clean everywhere. Rooms are very nice. Quiet, formal, and casual dining in a choice of restaurants. Delicious Turkish food, loads of choice.

The majority of people there are multi-lingual, so it's fine if you don't speak Turkish or French. If you try greeting someone in their own language, they appreciate the effort.

GOs were amazing, so friendly, gentle, professional, fun, and interesting. Biggest thanks and best wishes to the GOs I spent time with - Elfy who is exceptionally lovely, fun, and talented, Super Selina, Tennis GOs Yusuf (super dedicated & nice), Ahmed, Alphonse, Slava, aquagym's Tony, and trainee Yasin, who will no doubt make a fabulous GO.

Senior management team often present. CDV very welcoming, apparently runs a tight ship, and responded to a GM's request to play the old crazy signs music in the evening show.

Beach is pebbly, take beach swim shoes. Some of the sports equipment apparently needs replacing. Is there any harm in asking - could we please have a slalom course for waterskiing like other CMs used to have?!
