Our recent family holiday to Club Med Bali was, without exaggeration, out of this world. We visited two years ago and loved it, but this stay was on an entirely different level. It was the best family holiday we’ve ever had. The tropical gardens, pristine beachfront and the warm, genuine welcome made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything felt elevated this time, from the quality of service to the range of activities and the wonderful sense of community that brought guests and staff together.

The people truly made the difference. Houcem, the Chief of Village, was simply outstanding. He was authentic, present and inspiring, setting a positive tone that was reflected in the entire team. His warmth and care were clear in every interaction, and it was easy to see the respect his team had for him. Nyoman and Roy at the bars made every visit a pleasure. They were friendly, professional and always took time to make us feel welcome, remembering our names and favourite drinks, and adding such a personal touch. Ashleigh, Shelly and Youssef were equally impressive, full of energy and kindness, and always making sure we were enjoying ourselves.

The resort itself looked better than ever. The facilities were immaculate, the beach beautifully maintained, and the activities ran smoothly and safely. There was no scramble for loungers at the pool, the gardens felt even lusher than we remembered, and the atmosphere across the resort was one of genuine happiness and connection. There was a real sense of togetherness, which added to the magic.

The food was superb, with fresh seafood, a wide variety of dishes and fun themed nights that kept things interesting. Every meal felt like a treat, and the chefs were happy to accommodate different tastes and needs. The bar service, thanks to Nyoman and Roy, was flawless throughout our stay.

With older children, aged 11 and 14, we spent our days enjoying the fantastic range of sports and activities as a family. From tennis and archery to paddleboarding and beach volleyball, there was always something to keep us active. What stood out most was the thoughtfulness of the GO team, who went above and beyond by organising an impromptu birthday celebration for our daughter. It was a wonderful surprise and made her day truly special.

The setting of Club Med Bali is, of course, stunning. But it was the people who turned this holiday into something unforgettable.

Best staff make the best experience
What makes this the best experience is the G.O.s (staff). They work so hard to make your stay unforgettable, and it all starts at the top, always smiling, always genuine.

Cons:
Shower facilities next to main pool are quite dated and could use some upgrade.
Room service not very efficient, took more than 1 hour to bring us slippers
One of my skincare products is missing and we never heard anything back except for apologies and will investigate.
Also when bell boys transported our suitcases from reception to our rooms, they must have dragged them over the cobbler stone surfaces as all the wheels are completely destroyed now with pieces of rubber falling off.

Pros:
Comfortable pillow and big bed. We like the smell of toiletries provided also.
Well designed program, very helpful staff, froendly program instructors, sufficient diverse choice of menu at buffet and always something new every day.
We particularly like the adult zen pool that allow us to enjoy some quiet time, and of course the pool side bar.
Club Med is at the end of the beach so we think it has the best view compared to other neighbouring hotels.
Friday dinner & show on the lawn was a huge success with premium beef and seafood.
Tips: do not pre book airport transfer which costs around USD100. Just several days before our stay we got an offer from Club Med transportation desk with much lower price of IDR400k only. We took this one and were happy with the service, even though we know hailing through Grab would be less than half of that price. On the last day when we departed for airport, we ordered our ride via Grab and that costed us less than IDR120k.
